blog reviews

A friend of mine recommended Dahr Jamail’s site to me. Jamail is an independent journalist covering Iraq. His weblog is one of the most fascinating I have ever read. It contains the personal thoughts and experience found in a private journal mixed with the harsh reality of what a war correspondent witnesses. So if you get a chance try to include this website in your daily surfing.

The other blog I would like to recommend is Informed Comment. Professor Cole adds a nice touch of academia to the current body of writings being developed around the US incursion into Iraq. His site is not straight forward reporting like Jamail’s is, but it is thought out and relevant commentary. I do not always agree with Cole but it is a worthwhile read.
