We all met in Cape Town around 2PM at the airport and made our way to the our hotel. Holly had found us a hotel called Rouge on Rose in the Bo-Kaap neighborhood. It was wonderful. We had beautiful third floor rooms that felt more like apartments than hotel rooms. Our room had a couch and and balcony doors that allowed for a great breeze.
Sunday is a sleepy day in Cape Town, so we made our way down to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. This is a developed waterfront for tourists. Here we learned that excellent South African wine is very cheap to buy by the bottle and Sam found his new favorite beer, CBC. We had charcuterie at a place called Hildebrand, drinks at Primi Piatti, and late night beers Mitchell’s Waterfront Brewery.
